At the heart of Goshen—where the White River meets Richland Creek—our community organization is dedicated to preserving the area's rich agricultural heritage and natural beauty. With landscapes defined by rolling hay fields, working cattle farms, and equine facilities, Goshen offers a rural charm and quality of life that we believe is worth protecting.

As development pressures grow, we advocate for thoughtful land use that honors our rural character and resists high-density zoning that threatens our open spaces, ecosystems, and way of life. Our efforts prioritize environmental conservation, sustainable growth, and community-driven planning that supports a balanced future.

Through education, engagement, and stewardship, we strive to protect the character of our community—ensuring Goshen and rural Washington County remains a place where nature, agriculture, and residents thrive together.

VERY IMPORTANT UPCOMING PRIMARY RUNOFF ELECTION FOR WASHINGTON COUNTY & GOSHEN RESIDENTS
GET OUT AND VOTE!!
NOTE: NOT A COURTROOM JUDGE
The Washington County Judge is the county’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and one of the most influential leaders in local government.
This position has direct authority over county operations, public safety, infrastructure, budgeting, and long-term planning decisions that affect land use, roads, and public services.
The County Judge oversees county operations, manages taxpayer dollars, guides road and facility maintenance, and works closely with law enforcement and emergency services to keep communities safe. By coordinating with the Quorum Court, local officials, and residents, the County Judge sets the direction for Washington County's growth, fiscal responsibility, and the long-term sustainability of Washington County for future generations. This position is essential to ensuring accountable government, strong services, and a thriving county.
The Washington County Judge:
An Industrial Development Authority (IDA) finances and builds projects such as industrial parks, technology centers, and infrastructure that are too large for one county to deliver alone.
Benton, Madison and Washington counties, which make up the federally defined Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers metropolitan statistical area, are positioned to create a Regional IDA.
The authority may be created before landowners know whether their property could be affected by future projects, and before clear guardrails or site-specific protections are in place. Because the entity is permanent, its decisions could influence land use, infrastructure placement, and property values over decades.
Once formed, the authority would operate independently through a governing board and would not require Quorum Court approval for each future project.
This is a major land-use decision with long-term consequences.
Now more than ever it is critical that we elect a County Judge that is transparent, accountable and aligned with smart growth.
